Qazigund, July 12: Authorities demolished several structures including shops and sheds in Qazigund area of Southern Kulgam that had come up within the radius of 100 metres of National Highway.

Sources said that a team of Revenue officials assisted by police led a demolition drive at Nipora Mir Bazar area of Qazigund. The demolition drive was carried out under the supervision of ADC Anantnag and Tehsildar Qazigund.

An official said that nobody is allowed to raise any structure within the radius of 100 metres of National Highway-44. “We demolished all these structures in Nipora area and in other parts, such structures will be dismantled as well,” he said. knt
