Smugglers escape leaving behind 3 horses laden with illicit timber in Budgam

Budgam, May 31: Jungle smugglers managed to escape from the spot leaving their three horses laden with illicit timber back when chased by Forest Protection Force team in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district. 

Sources said that after receiving information, a team led by Forester Khansahib Bashir Anmad Dar seized three horses laden with six logs of wood from two jungle smugglers.

Smugglers escaped from the spot, however, they left the horses laden with illicit timber back that were seized.

Forester Bashir Ahmed said that smugglers have been identified and a formal case vide FIR number 105/2021 under section 379 IPC, 26 Forest Act was registered at Police Station Khansahab. knt

He identified the two jungle smugglers as Nazir Ahmad Dar son of Gulla Dar of Arizal and Abdul Majid Deenda son of Bali Dar, a resident of Raiyar Bearwah. (KNT)
