Kulgam : May 02, A specific information through reliable source was recieved by Kulgam Police regarding the presence of contraband substance in the residential house of Barkatulla Mir son of Mohd Abdullah Mir, a resident of Bachroo.

Accordingly, a team was constituted and the suspected residential house was raided. During search officers present were able to recover 15 Kg of Poppy Straw, one Grinding Mixer, one mobile phone, and cash of ₹4600 from his possession.

He was arrested and Contraband substance was seized in presence of Executive magistrate Kulgam.

Regarding the incident case with FIR No.69/2021 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act stand registered at Police station Kulgam and investigation taken up.
