Budgam, Apr 19: The service rifle of a policeman went off accidently in Budgam Court premises on Monday, creating panic among people.

Eyewitnesses said that a police party from police station Budgam had arrived in the Court along with an accused to get police remand.

They said that on their way towards the court room, the service rifle of a constable went off accidently in the premises. The bullet hit the vehicle of a lawyer parked in the court premises.

Witnesses said no loss of life or injury was reported and fortunately, no one was present in the vehicle at the time of the incident. (knt)
