Budgam: Suspected militants fired upon 35 year old SPO (Special Police Officer) turned constable in Mazhama area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district leavin him crtically injured.

Sources said that the injured has been identified as Nasir Ahmad Khan of Buchipora Magam.

Soon after he was injured, he was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.

The slain police man was posted in Anantnag.

A police official said that area has been cordoned off and a case has been registered regarding the incident. kdc
