Arms, Ammo Recovered in Budgam: Police

Budgam, Apr 3: Police claimed to have recovered arms and ammunition from Shanipora Khan Sahab area in central-Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Police official said  on receipt of credible inputs about the concealment of a ‘bag’ beneath the bushes in the forest area at Shanipora Khan Sahab, a police team alongside Army’s 53 RR carried searches in the area.

“During searches incriminating material of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) including one each of Chinese Pistol (9MM), UGBL, four rounds of UGBL Rounds and as many Pistol Magazines besides three radio sets, a 9 Volt battery, three 7.62 rounds, ninety-eight .9 MM rounds and a bonnet cover were recovered”, the official maintained.

“An FIR number 44/2021 under relevant sections of law has been taken up and further investigations taken up”, the official added.
