2 soldiers injured in accidental mine blast in Poonch

Poonch, Jan 7:Two soldiers were injured when they accidentally stepped on an anti-personnel mine while patrolling near the Line of Control in Mankote area in Mendhar sector in Poonch district on Thursday.

Official sources said  that at around 1500 hours, two soldiers of 10 Jak rifles— Luvpreet Singh and Rifleman Vikramjeet—were shifted to Udhampur by helicopter. While Luvpreet suffered wounds in the right ankle, Vikramjeet has splinter injuries. (GNS)
