512 New Covid-19 Cases In J&K, 4 die

Srinagar, Nov 28: Jammu and Kashmir reported 512 new covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the overall tally to 109383. 

Among the infected include 24 travelers and two pregnant women, officials said.

They said Srinagar reported 97, Baramulla 26, Budgam 25, Pulwama 14, Kupwara 16, Anantnag 7, Bandipora 12, Ganderbal 14, Kulgam 0, Shopian 1, Jammu 129, Rajouri 33, Udhampur 31, Doda 18, Kathua 23, Poonch 1, Samba 20, Kishtwar 26, Ramban 9 and Reasi 10.

A number of these cases were confirmed at CD and SKIMS Soura hospitals diagnostic laboratories and include two pregnant women.

Meanwhile a 48-year-old man was among four more people who died due to covid-19, taking the fatality count to 1680, officials said on Saturday.

The officials said that two deaths each were reported from Kashmir Valley and Jammu region.

The deaths from Valley includes a 48-year-old man from Hardu Ichloo Baramulla and a 60-year-old man from Darend Ganderbal. The victims from Jammu region included one each from the winter capital of the J&K and Doda district, they said.

With these deaths, the total fatality count in the Valley has reached 1099 and 581 in the Jammu region.

Srinagar district with 416 deaths tops the list followed by Jammu (297), Baramulla (162), Budgam (100), Pulwama (86), Kupwara (82), Anantnag (78), Doda (56), Bandipora (50), Kulgam (50), Rajouri (49), Udhampur (47), Ganderbal (38), Shopian (37), Kathua (36), Samba (29), Poonch (22), Ramban (18), Kishtwar(16), and Reasi (9).
