Two militant Associates Arrested in South Kashmir: Police

Awantipora November 21: Police claimed to have arrested two militant associates of Jaish-e-Mohammad from Tral and Pampore area.

The police claimed that the duo were arrested as they were involved in “providing shelter, support, logistics as well as in transporting of arms/ ammunition of the terrorists in Pampore & Tral area and passing sensitive information to the terrorists of proscribed outfit JeM”.

The arrested militant associates have been identified as Bilal Ahmad Chopan resident of Wagad Tral and Mursaleen Bashir Sheikh resident of Chatlam Pampore, the police said.

“Incriminating material has been recovered from both the arrested persons.  Case F.I.R number 96/2020 and 90/2020 stands registered against the said arrested persons in Police Station Tral and Police Station Pampore respectively under relevant sections of the law,” police said
