Gunfight breaks out in Parigam Pulwama

Pulwama CNS, Nov 19: A fierce gunfight started between the militants and government forces at Parigam village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

The encounter took place when a joint team of Police, army’s 50 RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.

When the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them which was retaliated triggering an encounter.

Two to three militants including LeT Divisional Commander Riyaz Alias Khalid believed to be trapped in the area

On the other hand clashes erupted between security forces and protesters at Karimabad, during CASO, Slogans echoed through loudspeakers of mosques. Further details awaited. (CNS)
