Jammu: Prominent social activist from Jammu Amandeep Singh Boparai, who made an attempt to hoist the tricolor at PDP office Jammu on Tuesday, was detained by the police.

Family members of the detained activist said that a team of police from Gandhi Nagar police station headed by Station House Officer and accompanied by women cops also reached their residence in Sanjay Nagar and detained Boparai.

“Is this a lesson for being nationalist and hoisting the national flag,” family members of Boparai told asked?

 Meanwhile, Amandeep Singh has reportedly been taken to Gandhi Nagar police station. Senior police officers refused to comment upon the matter—(KNO)
