Militant associate arrested in Pampore

Pampore, Oct 17: Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested a militant associate of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) outfit in Pampore area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

A police official said that a militant associate was arrested who was involved in providing shelter, logistics and other support to the LeT militants as well as in transporting arms and ammunition of the militants in Pampore, Khrew and Kakapora area.

“The arrested militant associate has been identified as Haris Shareef Rather of Zaffron Colony, Pampore,” the official said, adding, “Incriminating material has been recovered from his possession, which has been seized for the record purpose.”

A case under FIR number 84/2020 under relevant sections of Unlawful Activities Act has been registered in Police Station Pampore.
