NIA conduct raids at multiple locations in Srinagar, Awantipora

Srinagar, Sep 24: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday morning conducted raids in at least nine locations in Srinagar and Awantipora area of Pulwama district.

Official sources said that NIA sleuths, accompanied by paramilitary CRPF and police, raided the house of Zahoor Ahmad Bhat at Wazir bagh Srinagar,  Bashir Ahmad Lone at Hokersar near Doon International School and Arif Ahmad Misger and fazal ul haq of Bag-i-Sundar Chattabal area of Srinagar, all of whom are  associated with LOC trade.

The Cross-LoC trade between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad, capital of Pakistan-administered-Kashmir (PaK) was stopped by Centre in March 2019.

Meanwhile, a statement issued by the NIA spokesman said that it conducted searches at 9 locations in J&K in connection with LOC Trade case.

“The premises of the following were searched—Mohd. Iqbal Lone r/o Parimpora, Srinagar, Khursheed Ahmad Lone r/o Parimpora, Zahoor Ahmad Bhar r/o Wazirbagh,  Fazal-ul-Haq Misgar r/o Chattabal, Safakadal, Arif Hassan Misgar r/o Chattabal, Safakadal, Aijaz Ahmad Sheikh r/o Buchpora, Javed Ahmad Sheikh r/o Buchpora. Tajammal Masoodi r/o Awantipora and Musadiq Afzal Masoodi r/o Awantipora,” the statement said, adding that “several digital devices and incriminating documents have been seized.” It said that further investigation in the case is continued—(KNO)
