Kupwara, Aug 21: A Border Security Force (BCSF) personnel  man committed suicide after shooting self to death with his service rifle in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Sources said the Border Security Force personnel was rushed to hospital where doctors declared him dead.

The deceased who has been identified as Head Constable Ram Kumar was posted at Branwari but killed himself in a bunker at Wyine Kupwara with 169 Battalion.

Confirming the incident, SSP Kupwara, Shri Ram Ambedkar said that preliminary investigation reveals that deceased BSF man was suffering from hypertension and depression. ” A case has been registered and investigation set into motion,” he said. (KNT
