Budgam: Police in central Kashmir’s Humhamma are of Budgam district on Wednesday morning arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.

Police sources said that a checking party of Humhama police arrested a person and during the searches 50 bottles of codeine phosphate were recovered from his possession.

They identified the arrested drug peddler as khurshed Ahamd dar son of Mohd Yousuf dar a resident of Humhama village of Budgam.

A police officer said that an FIR number 297/2020 under section 8/21 NDPS Act in this regard have been registered at PS Budgam and further investigations are on.
