Srinagar: A militant has been killed in the ongoing gunfight in Srigufwara area of Anantnag district in Southern part of Kashmir on Monday. 

Police tweeted “#AnantnagEncounterUpdate: So far 01 #unidentified #terrorist killed. Operation going on. Further details shall follow. @JmuKmrPolice.

Earlier, forces laid a siege in the area after ” Inputs” regarding the presence of militants in the area.

Sources said, after forces zeroed the spot the hiding militants fired upon forces resulting to gunfight.

So far one militant bas been killed during the exchange of gunfire, police said.
