Tabish awarded Chevening Scholarship, will study Public Policy at King’s College London      

Srinagar, July 06: Mohammad Tabish, a Government employee working in the department of Social Welfare, J&K has been awarded the prestigious Chevening Scholarship to study a Master’s Degree in Public Policy at King’s College London.

Chevening Scholarships enable outstanding emerging leaders from all over the world to pursue one-year master’s degrees in the UK.

Originally hailing from Bandipora, Tabish is an alumnus of Tyndale Biscoe School and OP Jindal Global University where he has pursued a Master’s in International Relations.

“The news has been a great surprise given the uncertainties Kashmiri students have faced in the past one year. However, it’s a great opportunity for me to advance my knowledge in a world class academic environment in the United Kingdom.” Tabish said.

He further added that “the Indian society has changed considerably in the past two decades, however, the institutions administering the policy processes have still not changed. My desire is to bring academic knowledge to the government and utilise scientific know how to bring progressive change to the community.”
