IED blast in Pulwama, CRPF personnel injured

Srinagar, July 05:  A CRPF trooper was injured in a low intensity Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast on Srinagar-Pulwama road in south Kashmir on Sunday.

The injured was identified as Constable GD Dass of 182 battalion of CRPF.

Official sources said militants detonated a low intensity IED when a Road Opening Party of CRPF was being deployed for movement of convoy in Gangoo area in Pulwama.

The injured was rushed to a hospital.

‘The jawan has received an injury on his hand,’ they further said adding the entire area has been sealed and a massive search operation has been launched to nab the militants responsible for the blast. (UNI)
