Srinagar, July 02: A CRPF personnel has been injured in ongoing gunfight between militants and forces in Malbagh area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.

A senior Police officer said that a CRPF personnel has been injured in ongoing encounter, shifted to nearby hospital.

Earlier, A joint team of Police and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Malbagh.

As the joint team approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering off an encounter.(GNS)
