Jammu, June 25 (UNI) To thwart any terrorist-like attack and prevent such situations, security forces conducted a mock drill exercise here at Jammu Tawi Railway Station.

A joint mock drill was conducted by the Government Railway Police (GRP), Army, Special Operation Group (SOG) and Railway Police Force late on Wednesday night.

“The exercise was conducted as a part of preparations and alertness on part of the security forces in case any terrorist attack like situation occurs,” an official here said on Thursday.

He said that the troops of GRP, Army, SOG and RPF led by the team of officers conducted patrolling with exercise at the platforms and the surrounding areas of the Railway Station.

“Our jawans are prepared and always ready to meet any kind of situation and the mock drill exercise was based on preparations and swift arrangements to be made in case of any untoward like incident happens,” said an official.
