Indian must not underestimate China’s firm will to safeguard territorial integrity: Chinese spokesperson

Srinagar, June 18:  India must not misjudge the current situation or underestimate China’s firm will to safeguard its territorial sovereignty, ANI quoted Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson as stating.

The spokesperson said Indian front-line troops broke the consensus and crossed the Line of Actual Control (LAC), deliberately provoking and attacking Chinese officers and soldiers, thus triggering fierce physical conflicts and causing casualties.

In a massive scale up of conflict in Galwan Valley in Eastern Ladakh, 20 Indian Army soldiers were killed during the violent clash with the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China on Monday.

The Indian media reported that Chinese soldiers attacked the Indian soldiers with batons fixed with nails and other life threatening weapons.

So far, both countries have held major general level talks to de escalate the situation which has proved to be inconclusive so far.
