Indo-Pak armies trade gunfire along LoC in Poonch

 

 

Rajouri: The armies of India and Pakistan on Saturday exchanged gunfire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu division.

Officials here told that at around 10 a.m., the Pakistan army resorted to “unprovoked” firing along Krini sector of Poonch. “The fire was retaliating befittingly,” they said.

An army official said, “Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by intense firing with small arms along LoC in Kirni sector. Indian Army is retaliating befittingly.” The exchange of fire was going on when the report was filed. (GNS)
