Two live shells found in Budgam village, diffused

Budgam, May 28: Budgam police on Thursday evening diffused two live shells in Khag area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district, officials said.

Officials told news agency that during the cleaning of a Nallah at Drang Khag area of Budgam, locals spotted two unexploded shells.

They said that after spotting the shells, they informed the police about the matter.

A police officer said that after receiving the information, a police party from Police Station Khag rushed to the spot and called Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), which later diffused both the shells.

A case in this regard has been registered at Police Station Khag while the investigation has been started—(KNO)
