Srinagar: Militants also decamped with two service rifles of paramilitary CRPF troopers after fatal attack at Wanigam Crossing in Kralgunf area in Handwara on Monday, police said.

“The investigation is going on,” the officer said and responded in affirmative with two service rifles from three CRPF man killed in the shoot out.

Asked about comments on claiming responsibility for the attack by little know the resistant front TRF the militant outfit, officer said. “It (the outfit) is just an offshoot of LeT.”

The outfit had claimed that, “scores of Indian forces personnel” were killed and many more were injured while rifles and ammunition was also recovered from them”.

Meanwhile, police station Kralgund filed a case under FIR NO 60/2020 under section 307, 302 IPC and 7/27 IA act in connection in this regard.
