Three journalists were booked one after another by the Cyber police in Kashmir including Peerzada Ashiq, a reporter of The Hindu Newspaper, Masrat Zehra – photojournalist and Gowhar Geelani an author and a senior journalist for “fake news” and “anti national” social media posts and writings.

“Can someone please tell the Govt of the day that democracy is about differentness not sameness. Be prepared to listen to different viewpoints. They want to read what they like to read not what exists on ground & this is dangerous. We stand in solidarity with our media fraternity,” JKPC tweeted.
