Hizb millitant arrested in central Kashmir’s Budgam district

Budgam: Government forces Thursday claimed to have arrested a Hizbul Mujahideen militant from central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Wednesday evening.

Police officials said that a naka was laid by Budgam Police, at Qazipora area of the district on a tip-off about the movement of some militants.

“During the checking, one militant has been apprehended along with arms and ammunition,” they said.

Officials identified the militant as Showkat Ahmad Tantary resident of Warpora DH Pora Kulgam.

Officials said that police has registered a case FIR No. 137/2019 under relevant sections of law at PS Chadoora in the matter, further investigation in the matter is going on.
