Srinagar: As many as 264 personnel of Jammu and Kashmir police security wing were promoted by Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC), a police spokesman said here on Saturday afternoon.

He said the DPC constituted under the Chairmanship of Additional Director General (ADG) of police Muneer Ahmad Khan met on 26 July and cleared the Promotions to 264 Security Personnel of various subordinate Units of Security Wing which included four Head Constables, 256 Selection Grade Constables and four constables.

In his congratulatory message Khan, has greeted all the promoted officials and impressed upon them to work with dedication & devotion for the betterment and service of society in general and Police Department in particular.
Promoted officials have expressed their gratitude to the ADGP for issuance of their promotion order in time.
