Sopore: A cop of Fire and Emergency Services department was Saturday morning assaulted by unknown youth in north Kashmir’s Sopore.

Report said that the cop, identified as Mushtaq Ahmed Gadoo, a resident of Chankhan Sopore, was beaten ruthlessly after an altercation with the three youth. 

The injured cop has been shifted to sub district hospital Sopore for treatment. 

A local news gathering agency reported that one among the three youth has been arrested and police has launched a manhuant to trace the other two.
