Bandipora: A 25-year-old woman Saturday morning committed suicide after consuming some poisonous substance at her home in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

Reports said that a woman (name withheld), a resident of Quailmuqam village consumed some poisonous substance and was immediately rushed to a local hospital for treatment where from she was referred to district hospital Bandipora.

However, doctors at Bandipora hospital declared her brought dead. “The reason for the suicide was not immediately known,” an official said.

He said that police has registered a case under relevant sections of law and further investigations have been initiated in this regard.
