Poonch: A 35-year old woman was injured in cross-LoC shelling at Baghyal Dara area along LoC in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir late Wednesday night.

A police officer saod that Pakistani army attacked army posts besides targeted civilian areas at Baghyal Dara area along LoC last night.

The soldiers manning the fence responded strongly, he said.

One woman namely Hanifa Bi (35) wife of Nizamudin suffered splinter injuries after some shells fired by Pakistani army landed in the civilian population.

The injured woman was immediately taken to a nearby hospital where from she was referred to district hospital Poonch for specialized treatment, he said. (GNS)
