Pulwama: Government forces Saturday morning launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Astan Mohalla area of Panzgam village of Pulwama district.

Official sources said that the search operation was launched on the basis of inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

“A  joint team of forces including 55 RR and Jammu and Kashmir Police launched the search operation in the area,” an official said.

Reports said that huge contingents of forces were deployed in the area.

Door-to-door search operation was going on when this report was being filed.
