Srinagar:  The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday arrested two drug peddlers and recovered heroine and cash from their possession.

A police spokesperson said that a police party led by SHO RM Bagh police station during naka at Hotel International crossing intercepted a white color Alto car bearing registration number JK03G-7636.

During the search of the vehicle some quantity of heroine was recovered along with a cash of Rs 1,99,400.

The accused persons were identified as Bashir Ah Gatoo son of Muhammad Abdullah Gatoo resident of Naina Batapora Pulwama; Numan Farooq Bhat son of Farooq Ahmad resident of Channapora Srinagar. 

Subsequently, he said, a case FIR No.18/2019 U/S 8/18 NDPS Act was lodged at Police Station Ram Munshi Bagh and investigation set in motion.
