Baramulla: Government forces Wednesday morning launched a cordon and search operation in a village in northern Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

A police official said a joint team of Army’s 52 RR, 46 RR, 53 BN CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police’s SOG launched a search operation in Gohan village of Baramulla following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

Reports said the joint team conducted house to house searches after sealing all the entry and exit points.

The operations were going on in the area when this report was being filed.
