Srinagar: No fresh traffic was allowed from Srinagar or Jammu on Tuesday on the Kashmir highway as a large number of vehicles are stranded at different places.

However Leh highway and historic Mughal road are through for one-way traffic only, a traffic police official said.

He said no fresh traffic was allowed from Srinagar or Jammu today as large number of vehicles are stranded between Jawahar tunnel and Ramban stretch. We will clear all the stranded vehicles before taking any decision to allow fresh traffic on the highway, the official said. 

Tomorrow no civilian traffic will be allowed on the highway due to ban imposed by the authorities to allow movement of security forces convoy.
