Shutdown in Anantnag parts against militant killings

Anantnag: A complete shutdown is being observed in Anantnag district on the second consecutive day on Friday following the killing of two Hizb militants in a gunfight with government forces on Thursday.

Reports said that all shops, school’s, business establishments are closed while a thin movement of traffic was visible on roads.

They said that the government forces have been deployed in strength in the town to “prevent law and order situation”.

Two militants identified as Safdar Amin Bhat and his associate Burhan Ahmad Ganaie were killed in an encounter with government forces at Bijbehara area of the district on Thursday.
