Srinagar: Former Member of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative council (MLC) Syed Mohammad Rafiq Shah joined National Conference in Srinagar on Wednesday.

Syed Rafiq  who hails from Trehgam area of Kupwara joined the party in Srinagar, where NC vice president Omar Abdullah welcomed him.

NC Provisional president Nasir Aslam Wani and other senior leaders were also present on the occasion.

Taking to social networking site Twitter, Omar wrote: “I am very pleased to welcome back a former colleague & ex-MLC Rafiq Shah Sb to @JKNC_ Rafiq & I worked together in the youth wing of the party when I started out in politics more than 20 years ago.”
