Six youth arrested from Sopore village on charges of staging protests

Srinagar: Six alleged stone pelters were arrested during night-long raids in apple township of Sopore in this north Kashmir district, official sources said here on Tuesday.

They informed that the security forces and state police raided a number of residential houses during the night and arrested about six youths.

The youths were involved in stone pelting after four militants were killed at Warpora and Kalantara in Baramulla last week in two separate encounters by security forces, they added.
