Srinagar: Multiple people have been injured as a result of a shooting on a tram in a residential area of Utrecht, Dutch police have said.

Trauma helicopters have been sent to the scene of the incident, police said on Twitter.

They are appealing to the public to stay away to allow emergency services to do their work, Glasgow based Evening Times reported.

Further details were not immediately available.

The investigation into the Utrecht shooting is considering the possibility of a “terrorist motive”, Dutch police have said.
