Srinagar: Government forces on Saturday launched a massive cordon and search operation in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Sources said that the contingents of Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Central Reserve Police Forces laid a siege to Poshker village in the wee hours on Saturday. The siege, they said, was launched after inputs about the presence of militants in the village.
The government forces conducted door-to-door searches in the area and the operation was going on when this report was being filed.
