Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti Thursday alleged that ‘when China commits repeated acts of incursion, the Government hides in a corner’.
China on Thursday blocked a fresh move to designate Pakistan-based JeM chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist at the UN Security Council for the fourth time.
Meanwhile, lashing out at Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad for his reaction on Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s tweet accusing ‘PM Modi of being scared of China’, Mehbooba said, ‘When politicians question the Centre on policies or decisions, the answer given is it helps/cause for celebration in Pakistan’.
“When politicians question the Centre on policies/decisions, standard answer is it helps/cause for celebration in Pak. It is raked up even during elections to create fear amongst people. But when China commits repeated acts of incursion, GoI hides in a corner. Why?” Mehbooba, who was the chief minister in previous PDP-BJP government in J&K, wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
Prasad had said, “What has happened to Rahul Gandhi? His tweet must be a headline in Pakistan… why is he in a celebratory mood.”
The Union Minister was responding to a tweet by Gandhi, which read, “Weak Modi is scared of Xi. Not a word comes out of his mouth when China acts against India. NoMo’s China Diplomacy: 1. Swing with Xi in Gujarat 2. Hug Xi in Delhi 3. Bow to Xi in China.”
