Srinagar: The 219th Corps Commanders Conference (CCC) of Pakistan army on Thursday expressed concern over the increased “Indian atrocities” in Kashmir after the Pulwama incident.

Quoting DG ISPR statement, Geo TV reported that the continued deliberate targeting of civilians along the Line of Control (LoC) by Indian forces is a matter of concern.

The Corps Commanders Conference (CCC) was held at GHQ and was presided by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

The forum, the reports said, concluded that the continuity of “such brutalities” was only fuelling the fire and needed to be stopped in the interest of world peace which also merits the attention of the world.

The progress of the National Action Plan (NAP) 2014 was also discussed by the forum, the report said.

The COAS appreciated the moral and performance of the forces, support from the nation and above all blessings of Almighty Allah. He directed for the continued state of vigilance and alertness so as to be prepared for a response to any threat. COAS also directed to further the efforts in line with decisions of the government to accelerate implementation of NAP while rendering full assistance to other state institutions, the statement said.

“Pakistan is on the positive trajectory of peace, stability and progress. No one can make us budge through use or threat of use of force. Similarly, policy and the right of use of force shall remain the prerogative of the state alone,” COAS concluded.
