Srinagar: Governor Jammu and Kashmir Satya Pal Malik on Saturday appointed Muneer Ahmad Khan, ADGP Law and Order as State information commissioner.

General Adminstration Department passed the order of the posting on March 2. 

According to the order Khan, presently Security, Law and Order, Home gaurds, Civil Defence, SDRF has been appointed as State Information Commissioner in the state Information Commission. 

“Khan’s appointment as SIO shall take effect from the date he assumes charge of the post,” the order reads.
