Srinagar: Bodies of five people have been recovered from the wreckage of the Indian Air Force plane that crashed in Garend Kalan in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Wednesday morning.
Officials said that so far five bodies have been recovered and the searches are on.
Soon after the fighter jet crashed, at least three blasts took place and a part of the crashed jet hit the civilian resulting into injuries to him. However his condition could not be ascertained yet.
A senior police official said that IAF’s Fighter Jet MI 17 crashed at around 10:40 am, some 7 kilometers away from Budgam town.
