Kulgam in south Kashmir shuts to mourn militant killings

Srinagar: A complete shutdown is being observed in southern Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Monday against the killing of three Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militants in a gunfight with government forces on Sunday.

Reports said that all the shops and business establishments are shut in the district while public transport is off the roads.

They said that forces have been deployed in sensitive areas of the district in strength to stop protests.

Three Jaish militants, a Deputy SP of Jammu and Kashmir Police and an army man were killed in a gunfight in Turigm village of Yaripora area of the district on Sunday.
