Pulwama attack: Civilian traffic to be halted during convoy movement, says Rajnath Singh

Srinagar: The Government has said that the civilian movement will be stopped during the movement of ‘large convoy’s of security forces” passes through an area.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh, while chairing a security review meeting in Srinagar said: “in the wake of suicide attack on CRPF convoy yesterday, it has been decided that the civilian movement will be stopped for sometime when a large convoy of security forces passes through an area.”

He said that the civilians will face a little difficulty and “we apologise for it”.

The decision comes in the wake of the killing of 49 CRPF personnel after their convoy on way to Srinagar from Jammu was rammed in by a suicide bomber in an SUV laden with explosives.
