Srinagar: Fresh snowfall at Banihal Wednesday led to closure of Srinagar-Jammu highway.

According to Traffic department routine the traffic was scheduled to ply from Srinagar to Jammu today, however the highway was shut following bad weather.

Reports said that it was raining for the whole night at several places on the highway which triggered landslides at Ramsoo and Ramban.

Traffic department officials said that the highway has been closed for traffic for now and the decision to resume it will be taken after weather improves.
