Srinagar: A gunfight ensued in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district Wednesday afternoon.

Reports said that government forces laid a siege to Binner area of Rafiabad in Baramulla district Wednesday following inputs about presence of militants.

A the joint teams of forces including army and SOG of Jammu and Kashmir police zeroed in on the location where militants were suspected to be hiding, the militants fired on the forces triggering a gunfight.

A police official said that there has been an exchange of fire in the area. More details, he said, will be shared after a while.
