Srinagar: A departmental Promotion Committee under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police Kashmir Swayam Prakash Pani has promoted several officials to the next rank in the police department on Monday.

“1150 Selection Grade Constables have been elevated to the rank of HCs following an order by the Police Department after completion of all departmental formalities,” the police spokesman in a statement said.

“Formal promotion orders in respect of 907 SgCTs shall be issued soon after attending the pre-promotion course,” he said.

IGP Kashmir S.P Pani has felicitated the promoted officials and their families and expressed hope that they will strive to work with greater zeal and professionalism for public welfare and the maintenance of peace and public order.
