Srinagar: Government forces on Wednesday laid a siege in North Kashmir’s Bandipora village.

Police sources said that a joint team of Army, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search operation in Danger Mohalla of Hajjin area and started door-to-door search operation.

The operation, they said, was launched after inputs about presence of militants in the area.

Search operation in the area was in progress when last reports came in.
