Every child in Kashmir holds Abdullahs & NC responsible for Kashmir turmoil: BJP

Farooq unleashing Kashmir-specific agenda of NC: BJP

Jammu: President of National Conference Farooq Abdullah is leaving no stone unturned in exposing the extremist ideology his party is going to adopt, in order to regain power during the forthcoming elections, the state unit of BJP alleged on Sunday.

‘Each and every word spoken by Dr Farooq must have sounded like music to the ears of separatists, pro-separatists and pro-Pak lobbies, while they pierced the sentiments of people of Jammu and Ladakh like poisonous arrows,’ State Spokesperson of BJP Brig (Retd) Anil Gupta, said in a statement issued here.

He said under the misconceived notion that there is no alternative to the National Conference this time, Dr Abdullah is trying to become a ‘messiah of peace,’ least realising that each and every child in Kashmir holds the Abdullahs and the NC responsible for the turmoil in Kashmir.

‘Kashmiris, having suffered for generations, due to their blind faith in NC, are determined this time to not to fall prey to its ‘lolli pop politics’.

‘Kashmiris have realised that Abdullahs are neither sincere to them, nor to the people of Jammu and Ladakh, but only sincere to their chair. And for saving their chair, they can sacrifice anybody, including the Kashmiris,’ said the BJP leader, adding that no amount of old wine in new bottles is going to please the Kashmiris this time.

By ridiculing ‘Operation All Out’ and belittling the Indian Army, Dr Abdullah is in no way contributing towards the return of normalcy, but adding fuel to the fire, he added.

‘Terrorism has to be finished and the efforts of the Indian Security Forces and JK Police in eliminating terror cannot be made a subject of electoral politics. His party has already announced that it would scrap the ‘Operation All Out’, if returned to power,’ said Brig Gupta.

The Jammu and Ladakh regions whole-heartedly oppose such a thinking of NC and will give it a befitting reply, to ensure that they come nowhere even close to power, he maintained.

Dr Abdullah is deliberately playing with words to create a misconception about the proposed multi-national talks with Taliban, with the issue of holding talks with the Hurriyat, accused Brig Gupta.

While addressing a gathering at Dak Bungalow in Anantnag on Saturday, Dr Abdullah had said that if voted to power, their government on the very first day would set up Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) to probe the killings in Valley and that his party does not support ‘Operation All Out,’ launched by security forces against the militants in Kashmir.
